SALE OF ALCOHOL

Persons placing an order for alcohol from our Uckfield Tandoori website must be aged 18 or over. Alcoholic beverages can only be sold and delivered to persons aged 18 or over. Uckfield Tandoori operates the Challenge 25 age verification policy whereby customers who are lucky enough not to look 25 or over, will be asked to provide proof of age to show that they are aged 18 or over. By placing an order that includes alcohol, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Uckfield Tandoori reserves the right to refuse to deliver any alcohol to any person who does not appear, or cannot prove they are, aged 18 or over. Uckfield Tandoorialso reserves the right to refuse to deliver any alcohol to any person who is, or appears to be, under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.

AVAILABILITY AND DELIVERY

Our aim is to provide the best delivery service possible. Unfortunately things do not always go to plan and factors, such as traffic conditions and weather, may occasionally prevent us from achieving our targets in this regard. We will do our best to ensure that your order is delivered by the time specified in the email and webpage. The timing of your order is determined by taking into account the number of orders and the circumstances being faced by the restaurant at that time.

In general and on a normal business day, order placed to be collected we aim to make the order ready for collection within 25 minutes from placing the order and for delivery we aim to deliver within 60mins from placing the order. As stated above, on rare occasions these turnaround (delivery) times may increase slight on days we are extremely busier than normal, heavy traffic or road closures making our journey to you longer or because of weather conditions is poor.

If you requested us to deliver the order to your address, then in general we can only deliver to address that is within 4 miles radius to restaurant postcode (TN22 5AE). We do not deliver to any address that is beyond 4 miles radius or any postcodes that starts with following:

TN221 –TN222 – TN224 – TN225 – TN223A – TN223B – TN223C – TN223D – TN223E – TN223F – TN223G – TN223P – TN223S – TN223X – TN223Y – BN84 – BN86

Charges:

  • Collection: FREE
    if you are collecting your order then there is no additional charge other than the prices advertised for items ordered.
  • Delivery: 
    we can deliver your order and the delivery charge will be £2.00 per order and address. The delivery distance must be within 4 miles radius from Uckfield Tandoori restaurant postcode TN22 5AE. The delivery charge is subject to change and we will notify in advance where possible.

CANCELLATION / RETURNS / REFUND

You have the right to cancel an order within a reasonable time and before the order becomes a Started Order (”a started order”). We will classify a bad order as any order which is cancelled after food has been used to start preparing the order (”a started order”). Customers can cancel an order by contacting the Restaurant. Uckfield Tandoori may cancel any order and will tell you once we cancel an order. You will not be charged for any orders cancelled in accordance with this clause. Any payment made prior to an order being cancelled by Uckfield Tandoori will usually be reimbursed using the same method you used to pay for your order. Any order cancelled after it becomes a Started Order will be charged to you. Uckfield Tandoori alone will determine whether an order is a Started Order or not. If any items you bought from us you are not satisfied with because it is not as described or is very different from last time you ordered the same item then you can get a refund providing you return the item. Refund will be worked out based on proportion of the item sold is returned i.e. returning food items if you have eaten part of it then the refund will be on portion that you return. For the purpose of quality control all food items returned will be assessed and kept a record of why it was returned by chef before it is dispose off as waste. Refunds for non food items, item must be returned in original condition and packaging.

PRICE AND PAYMENT

The price of any items will be listed on our website. Prices include VAT. Prices will vary between menus. Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which you have been presented with the Confirmation Email, save in the case of an obvious pricing mistake, whereby we will notify you as soon as we can about the pricing issue. You may be able to cancel your order once we notify you. Despite our best efforts, some of the Meals listed on our website may be incorrectly priced. Payment for all Meals can be made by credit or debit card through our website or over the phone. Once your order has been confirmed your credit or debit card will have been authorised and the amount marked for payment. Payment is made directly to Uckfield Tandoori operated under company name Talukdar Limited.

ONLINE TRANSACTION CHARGES

There is no charge for placing an order online, its FREE in fact we encourage you to place your order online instead of by phone because the order platform is very simple to use and quick especially if you have added items to your favourite list so next time you order you won’t have to look for the items you normally order. You can also place your order on the go because the website is fully responsive which means you can place your order from practically any devise like your mobile smart phone and tablet.

If you choose to pay for items online, third party “Stripe” will process your payment securely and efficiently. Uckfield Tandoori does not process or hold your payment details, it is Stripe that processes your payment details which is external to Uckfield Tandoori website and it is safe and secure. On checkout, you can save your card details so on future orders, you do not need to enter your card details.

PROMOTIONS / COUPONS

Any promotions advertised by Uckfield Tandoori will usually have an expiry date and where this date is omitted then restaurant has the right to withdraw this promotion at any time without any prior notice or may choose to apply an expiry date. Restaurant reserves the right to withdraw any promotions anytime and without prior warning or notice and can refuse to offer the advertised promotion. All promotions advertised will have terms and conditions clearly stated and will vary from promotion to promotion so it is important to check these terms and conditions and if unclear you should contact the restaurant for clarity.

RESERVATIONS/BOOKING TABLE

To reserve a table user must provide all required information and in correct format in the reservation form. Once the form is submitted a pop message will display in green text to confirm your booking followed by an email confirmation. If any information is entered incorrect or missing required data will result in pop up error message in red text you must correct and resubmit the form again.

The email supplied in the form submitted must be correct as incorrect email will result in not receiving a confirmation by email. If you do not receive an email to confirm your booking request then it is likely you have entered an incorrect email address (possibly misspelt) or the email is sitting in your spam folder we request you check before contacting the restaurant.

By subscribing to our birthday club you are giving Uckfield Tandoori the permission to contact you to congratulate you on your birthday by email, phone, letter and possibly in person and advice you of any promotions if you decide to hold your birthday party at Uckfield Tandoori.

FOOD ALLERGY

All our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, cereals containing gluten and other allergens are present and our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients. Our fish may contain small bones. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, confirmation of allergen information will be available on request. The allergen information is, to the best of our knowledge correct, however is subject to change between the time of advance booking and time of dining.
